Obstetrics and Gynecology — Year 6
This integrated final-year course develops safe, accountable clinical reasoning in gynecological and obstetric care, from first assessment and risk recognition to escalation, definitive management, follow-up and prevention.
Learning route
- Study the topic laboratory and the linked official guidance.
- Commit to a structured clinical plan before opening the worked reasoning.
- Complete the practical assignment using the assessment rubric.
- Take the native Moodle quiz and review the explanation for every response.
- Use the integrated capstone and final control to identify and address remaining gaps.
Expected outcome
By the end of the course, students can recognise time-critical maternal and gynecological conditions, use an ABCDE approach, prioritise investigations and treatment, coordinate multidisciplinary escalation, communicate uncertainty and apply patient-safety principles throughout care.
Clinical decisions must follow current Ministry of Health of Ukraine documents and local emergency, operative, antimicrobial, transfusion, neonatal and referral pathways, supported by authoritative international guidance.
